New review for "PRINCES ET HABITANTS" in Penguin Eggs Magazine

"Yann Falquet and Pascal Gemme, 2/3 of Québécois folk outfit, Genticorum, have a sublime release with Princes et Habitants. I'm a little worried that this duo format spells the death of Genticorum but this new album is solace enough if that in fact is the case. It's brilliant! Probably a little premature to name it album of the year, but it's really that good. The emphasis is on the interplay between the two voices and the two instruments (fiddle and guitar), with touches of other instrumentation to round things out (banjo, trumpet). It reminds me very much of the Grey Larsen/Andre Marchand release, The Orange Tree, from years back, with its striking mix of modernity and folk classicism. Like that album it is, as I said, sublime!"
